MODE psychology is a client focused psychology practice where we prioritise creating a safe, reflective and comfortable therapeutic space for change to occur. We value providing a high level of therapeutic skill and professionalism.  We are trained in Clinical Psychology and provide only evidence-based therapies.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

We value the importance of the therapist -client relationship and the collaborative and meaningful change it can achieve.  We provide one to one therapy across all age groups and aim to develop a shared understanding of the presenting concerns including:

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression

  • Behavioural difficulties

  • Supporting adjustments and life transitions

  • Family relationships

  • Managing daily stress

  • Seeking clarification around life decisions 

  • Improving sense of confidence 

  • Parenting

  • School related issues including social skills, friendship concerns, school reluctance/refusal

  • Coping

  • Grief and Loss

Depending on your needs and preferences we use a variety of evidence-based approaches including: Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Mindfulness based therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). 

TELEHEALTH

Can’t make it to an appointment in person? No problem. We offer online video consultations via Zoom or phone. Research indicates that therapy via video conferencing is just as effective as face to face consultations. The benefits of accessing therapy online to consider:

  • You are located in a familiar, comforting and relaxed environment

  • Improved ease, convenience & accessibility for sessions; increasing your ability to sustain consistent therapy engagement

  • For some it can feel less confronting and anxiety-inducing to begin their therapy via online

  • Reduced external stressors like travel, traffic, parking, or the additional required social interactions
